Interest in painting started with a painting class in college. Over the years, while living in Pennsylvania, I took classes through the Harrisburg Art Association and the Mechanicsburg Art Center particularly Expressionism with Li Hidley and Plein Air landscape painting with Earl Blust, one of the original Seven Lively Artists.
My first paining of the Maine coast was done in 1992. Over several years, more and more time was spent in Mid-Coast Maine, ultimately resulting in becoming a resident of Maine in the Spring of 2010. Since changing residency back to Pennsylvania in 2019, painting subjects include farm scenes in Lebanon County, PA and Eastern Shore, MD.
